beautiful when my light draws near,
How empty is the depth
they only drew near
Upon closer inspection
cutting me
giving me yet another shade of red
of empty glass.

Empty Glass |
Lead | ||
|
Mosaic friendships,
beautiful when my light draws near,
colorful conversations
sharing a thought or two.
How empty is the depth
when I see
no light within,
they only drew near
as a moth to the flame
showing off their jeweled hues.
Upon closer inspection
it was only painted panes
to hide their sharpened shards...
cutting me
leaving me to bleed,
giving me yet another shade of red
to add to my collection
of empty glass. © Pyper Rain |

The emptiness reverbates through the shards Beth.
Not even dust drops are left to spill in this heartbreaking rendering!

Making you stronger, more aware,
of with whom to share your light with. Heartrending, strong insightful write Beth, and remember, their loss. You're precious and you shall have what you deserve. Peace, Vicki

multiplied trials, his multiplied peace. - Flint

Hi Beth...
Seems you've met some in my past... or ones like them... Oh how I can relate to this... But with each shattered dream, Comes growth of the spirit... Then wisdom. Much enjoyed your fine write ! erin |

Beth, great analogy! I think with experience, discernment gets easier, although beautiful hearts always want to give the benefit of the doubt. I understand,
my friend. As always, your writing touches. *hugs*

A heart wrenching write of 'not friendship', of those who only want to show off.

Brian, you...are a gem, ; )
Vicki, I have never been one to discern, always seeing something beyond, ever hopeful, thank you for your understanding. Erin, you are so kind, and yes, with each shattered perception, comes growth and wisdom, not always apparent at the moment, that is the part that hurts... Desiree, I always give one the benefit of the doubt, seeing sometimes a shine that they themselves cannot see, and may never see...you are a dear heart, such heart felt replies, thank you. Maggie, out of the ashes does come beauty...thank you for a wonderful response. Ame, showing off comes from mirroring what one sees, and we are all mirrors in some fashion, but if there is no depth, it comes off as being empty, shallow and eventually falling away...thank you for your insight.. As always, your replies are so good for the soul, thank you all for reading. |
